What makes this property special?

Private access to Table Mountain National Park. Guests open a door and step onto an established mountain trail called “Jacks track”. Kirstenbosch botanical gardens are 15-20 minutes by foot. For the more energetic there are two routes to the summit of Table Mountain and a multitude of diverse trails at lower altitudes.

Above the trees …. a veritable zen-space and tranquil oasis in the centre of the Cape Peninsula.

Set on the slopes of Table Mountain bordering the national park, this spectacular property offers panoramic views of the mountain, forest, city and distant ocean. It has three bedrooms, and a maximum capacity of 6 persons (two sharing per bedroom).

Spacious, multi-storey living, 270 degree wrap around decks on two levels. A contemporary design with a Balinese feel; oak flooring and luxury finishes throughout. Indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, pool, sun decks, high speed WIFI, secure basement parking.

The master bedroom (King size bed) is a large space with an en suite bathroom & shower, a free standing bath, and sliding doors that open to a beautiful garden with day bed, pool and forest access door. Bedroom two and three, both with queen sized beds, share a bathroom (shower, bath and toilet) and a third bathroom / washroom. Bedroom two’s sliding doors lead onto a deck that links with the main garden, pool and forest door.
Close proximity to Cavendish / Claremont shopping area, Newlands cricket stadium; and the Constantia wine estates. One traffic light from the city centre & Waterfront; 15-20 minutes from the city’s iconic beaches; 45 minutes from Stellenbosch.

Security and safety features
Located in the Upper Fernwood estate, the property benefits from locally managed security services; 24-7 off site CCTV surveillance and armed response; a comprehensive, user- friendly alarm system, electric fence and other barriers. CCTV network covers the and garage area; there are no cams inside the residence.

Guests are required to climb a relatively steep flight of stairs linking the garage / basement to level one (bedrooms) and level two (living, dining and upper deck). The upper deck contains 1.1m height railings end to end. There are no child safety gates on the stairs and guests with small children (toddlers) should be aware of the risks of stairs and high decks, despite these features.

Child safety pool net available (pls provide advance warning to enable our staff to set up).

Important Information
The property is located within an estate and is prohibited from holding social functions. Guests are expected to refrain from having noisy parties or playing loud music.
Early check-in and / or late check outs can be accommodated in the absence of same day turnarounds. Guest requiring this service are asked to please make the request well in advance of arrival and to expect confirmation at a later date.

Guests are either met in person or given the keys via an automated process. The property contains a detailed house manual provided on arrival.

The property follows a rigorous COVID 19 sanitisation and cleaning protocol that is compatible with all the leading accommodation websites and local advisory bodies. Guests are welcome to request additional precautionary requirements or services related to COVID 19 prevention and safety.

Two restaurants, tea garden, and incredible array of walks and hikes; and the famous summer concerts involving local and international musicians.

Walking Trails, Hiking, Mountain Biking: From a gentle stroll to Kirstenbosch gardens to two routes to the summit of Table Mountain – its available from the property’s private door to the National Park.

Constantia Wine Route: The pioneers / oldest of the Cape’s wine industry; these exceptional wine estates are accessible via a short, scenic drive on the Constantia neck road. Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Constantia Glen, Eagles Nest, Beau Constantia, Steenberg, Uitsig …. Fine dining or relaxed picnic baskets and everything in between.
